Happy Friday babies! I went to the Cowboy Carter tour and in today’s episode of Hey Everybody! I’ll tell you some of my highlights, but I’ll also share my thoughts on Beyoncé being a real live Aphrodite and a mother of sexual liberation. I hope that if you haven’t seen the show yet or won’t get to, this might give you a lens on it that goes beyond the theatrics, set list, and fashion. I’ve been a fan since Destiny’s Child’s first album, when I was like 11 or 12. So I’m giving you some intimate reflections, inspired by Beyoncé’s own reflecting being done in the show. Also including some videos I took, and baby we were close to mother! As I say in the pod, more than a singer, or a pop-star, she is an artist. I’ll add here, a teacher and dare I say minister as well, and last night class was in session, and her pulpit was on muthafuckin fire! AFEMME! I hope you enjoy!
Also, there’s a new episode of the main pod, Tell me Something Messy, featuring John-Michael Bond. We talk about male bisexuality, coming out as polyamorous to his family, and the gift of love that comes from difficult conversations.
