My loves! What a treat this conversation with one of my all time favorites,
I’ve known and adored Todd and his work for a few years now, and am a big fan of his book, How to Love Someone Without Losing Your Mind. We had plans to come on each other’s podcasts to talk about it, but the schedules be scheduling, so it was wonderful to finally get to sit down with each other.
I came in with an agenda to talk about performance anxiety! It’s a question I’m asked about often, and Todd has wonderful insight and advice on. As he reminds us in his book, “sex is psychological”, and I wanted to hear more of his thoughts on that. Of course we can’t talk performance anxiety without talking about shame and the ways we can interrupt our spirals.
Probably the most tender part of the conversation for me, was talking about how to navigate long term partnerships when it’s never been modeled for you, unpacking the term clingy, and what we should all REALLY be looking for in a relationship.
