I fly free whenever I read your essays. I get all weepy and I laugh out loud. What a gift you are for all of us who see ourselves in the beauty of your words. I'm gonna claim you as my messy mom from now on.
Welcome back to yourself, love. I’m so happy you’re here.
I think that there’s a shared, fundamental, deep-in-the-bones experience in queerness of being “not ____ enough”. I see you. I feel you. And, for whatever this is worth to both of us, I always looked at you as someone whose non-binary-ness was intrinsic and non-negotiable, in contrast to my fledgling comfort with my own non-binary-ness. So, I guess the lesson here is that we all feel not enough, and maybe we all have someone who’s watching us with joyful hearts, seeing possibility and fulfillment and queer magic — and HOME. xx
Grateful to have you as my messy mom! Your essays always touch a very tender place in me. Thank you for sharing your unfolding/coming back home with us all ❤️
Thank you for sharing Mother Heaux! (If that’s okay to call you 🩷) but Brandon nonetheless, this is so inspiring and comforting knowing there’s always time and a chance to find yourself and you’re still hella young anyways!!! I look forward to seeing your journey blossom even further and keep laughing with you! 💜
